This personal 3D artwork presents a contemporary reinterpretation of Shengqing, a figure from classical Chinese mythology, through a complete three-dimensional creative process. Traditionally described as a serpent whose name brings good fortune and whose presence reflects natural will, Shengqing is reimagined here as a being that exists between life and emotion rather than as a symbol of power or divine authority. By reexamining ancient Chinese mythological views on the relationships between humans, animals, nature and emotion, the work frames animals and natural forces as carriers of emotional and ethical meaning rather than as opposing others. Through the shared formation of character and environment, the project proposes a non-hierarchical relationship between humans and nature, exploring how mythological symbols can continue to operate as structures for emotional understanding in a contemporary context.

" On the mountain, when one sees a great serpent crowned with a ceremonial headdress,

it is called Shēngqīng. To call its name brings good fortune."
