This work is a 3D rendered fantasy creature presented through a realistic visual language, inspired by the leucistic crested gecko. Grounded in the form of a real animal, the project seeks a middle state between fantasy and realism. The concept of yin and yang forms the core of the character design, shaping its balance of form, surface and presence. The gecko expresses both instinctive alertness and a quiet, steady inner quality, reflecting an Eastern understanding of natural order, balance and a sense of calm akin to Zen thought.
